If you would rather spend time in nature, it is worth your while paying a visit to the Children’s Farm, Børnebondegården, where you can see and talk to guinea pigs, chicken, geese, ducks, goats, sheep, horses and cows. There is plenty of space here for playing on play-cows, in the playhouse, or racing on play tractors, or watch the milking of a cow.
Glud Museum is a living museum where you can experience what life was like in the villages during the past 350 years. There are plenty of fine activities for children to be found here.
We also recommend exploring the toy exhibition at Horsens Museum, and mom and dad will enjoy a visit to Horsens Art Museum located in a beautiful park a short distance away for its extensive collection of works by the son of the city, Michael Kvium.
Oh! And did we mention that the whole family can buy a real dinosaur tooth from Fossil jewellery, where a private collector has turned his home into a museum with some of the world’s oldest fossils?
